About FVRAHistory of FVRAThe Farmington Valley Rowing Association was founded in 1982, in part , by parents of children who were on the Simsbury High School crew team. FVRA was formerly incorporated in 1989. The club rents space from Friends of Simsbury Crew at the Paine Boat House on the Farmington River near the Drake Hill Bridge in Simsbury. FVRA's membership consists of adults ranging in age from 18 years and up. Club members compete regularly in regattas and have a medal winning track record. FVRA MeetingsThe officers and directors of FVRA meet at least monthly to address administrative, program issues and the like. Any FVRA member may attend a FVRA board meeting. Those members who want to attend a meeting or address the board are required to contact the club president in advance. Meeting dates and locations are to be posted in the boathouse and the newsletter. An annual meeting and annual elections of a new board will be held each November.
