Winter Training 2021

2 Days a Week Virtual (1 weekday evening and 1 weekend morning, specific days and times TBD) & 1 OYO

Optional Equipment: 1 set of resistance bands + 1 fabric kettlebell (links provided at the bottom of the page)

Requirements: Current USRowing Waiver (Basic), internet access, phone or computer with webcam to allow for coaching
New this year – Join us for winter training from the comfort of your own home! This program consists of three workouts a week, one on your own and two virtual group workouts. Virtual group workouts provide the opportunity to stay connected and moving over the winter while staying socially distant. Each week there will be one full body circuit workout and one interval bike/erg workout held over video conference lasting about 1 hour. A steady state bike/erg cardio workout will be provided to complete on your own schedule. Breathing drills will also be included as part of the workout and on your own offerings.
Video demonstrations of each workout will be provided in advance as well as form suggestions and coaching over conferencing when possible. You have the option to purchase resistance bands as well as a fabric kettlebell based on your existing access to equipment for the workout.
The goal of these sessions is to maintain or build a strong base of overall fitness, body awareness and community over the winter months as we work towards our 2021 on water season, which we hope to start at the end of March weather permitting. Anyone interested in participating on the water with FVRA in 2021 is strongly encouraged to participate. Space is limited to 20 participants to allow for effective online coaching to be provided during group workouts.
